The 2027 political season in Akure North and South received another boost on Thursday as former Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Kenneth Sunday Olawale, received the APC Flag Bearer for the Akure North and South Federal Constituency, Hon. (Princess) Omowunmi Olatunji-Ohwovoriole, and pledged his commitment to the success of the party and its candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
Olawale, who hosted Princess Omowunmi during the strategic stakeholder engagement at his residence, declared his readiness to work for the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and all its candidates, while also expressing support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027. He further pledged to support Princess Omowunmi’s aspiration to represent Akure North and South in the House of Representatives.
The former Speaker’s position came as Princess Omowunmi continues her consultations with political leaders and stakeholders across the constituency, seeking to strengthen party unity, consolidate support and mobilise stakeholders ahead of the 2027 election.
Princess Omowunmi thanked Rt. Hon. Olawale for the warm reception and his commitment to the APC. She reaffirmed that her ongoing engagements are aimed at bringing stakeholders together, listening to their views and building stronger support for the party across Akure North and South.
Among members of the campaign team who accompanied Princess Omowunmi on the visit were Hon. Owoyemi Emmanuel, Comrade Bayo Olanusi, Pst. Mrs. Kayode Monisola, and other members of her team.
